WOW Passport Challenge

We’re running two Movin’March competitions in 2023 to encourage tamariki and whānau to walk or wheel to school – the WOW Passport Challenge (open to all students at schools registered for Movin’March ) and the Whānau Photo Competition (open to whānau of any child under 14 yrs walking or wheeling to school in the Greater Wellington region).

The WOW (Walk or Wheel) Passport Competition is open to all students at schools registered for Movin'March and runs from 1-31 March 2023. Download a handy factsheet (PDF 207 KB) with the key dates and details about competitions for Movin'March 2023.

Record your walk or wheel trips over March and be in to win one of 12 x $400 MYRIDE vouchers! This popular challenge invites tamariki to collect stamps on a passport every time they walk or wheel to/from school during Movin'March.

How to participate:

  1. Schools register for Movin’March
  2. We’ll send WOW passports to your school in your Walk or Wheel resource packs
  3. Promote the challenge to your school community
  4. Set up dedicated drop-off points for students who live too far away to walk or wheel the whole way
  5. Stamp each student’s passport each day they walk or wheel TO or FROM school in March
  6. Send in all passports (a maximum of two incomplete cards per student) to the Movin'March team at Greater Wellington, PO Box 11646, Wellington 6142 by Friday 14th April 2023 (end of first week of holidays).
